Many who avail themselves of the enjoyment of Port Bay and the access it provides to Lake Ontario, whether fishing, boating or other water sports and activities, don’t seem to be aware that maintaining the channel opening is funded solely through Membership dues, contributions and donations made to the Port Bay Improvement Association, a nonprofit organization. Neither town, county nor state tax dollars finance the cost of keeping the channel open. We count on your support. Encourage others you know to join the Association. Blind Sodus Bay Improvement Association is a Not For Profit Organization whose membership is made up from the Home and Cottage Owners, Seasonal renters and Seasonal Campground Residents with rented boat slips that reside on the beautiful shores of Blind Sodus Bay in the Northeastern most corner in Wayne County and Northwestern Cayuga County. Click here to View Current Supervisor Articles Port Bay Water Project The Towns of Wolcott and Huron are considering the extension of public water improvements within the Port Bay Water District, which involves the installation of 39,300 linear feet of water main along portions of West Port Bay Road, Wood Tract Road, Tompkins Point Road, North Maple Street, South Maple Street, Loon Point Road and Graves Point Road, and the Town of Wolcott is acting as the Lead Agency for the project. Theywill begin construction on the Port Bay Water Project in partnership with the Town of Huron in summer 2010. |
